Tower Bridge: Levitate over Thames

Tower Bridge is the most famous bridge in the world and a symbol of London. Most people in the world will instantly relate any photo of the Tower Bridge with London even if they don’t know anything about this city. The Bridge experience is one of the tourist spots that is always busy and for good reason. The Tower Bridge Experience consists of an introductory video that shows the history of the bridge followed by access to the upper walkways (two of them).  The walkways provide excellent view over the Thames. But the best part of the walkways are the new glass floors installed very recently. They provide amazing top view of the Tower Bridge and if you time your visit just right, you can even see the bridge open beneath you! You can find the bridge opening times here. I recommend that you arrive at least 30-40 minutes before the bridge lift as you may have to queue for about 20 minutes to get in. The glass platform also becomes quite busy with visitors so take up a place at the border of the glass pane early (you are not allowed on the glass when the bridge is opening). The view is something to behold when the bridge opens beneath you! Enjoy the moment! After the walkways, there is another animation that shows the construction of the bridge. You come out of the bridge after that and you have to walk to the engine room. You get to see how steam powered engines lifted the bridge originally. Of course now electricity is used to raise the bridge.

Entrance tickets to the bridge is £9 (£8 online). I recommend that you buy combined ticket with the Monument for £10.5. The cheapest way to enjoy the Tower Bridge is to use Tesco clubcard boost and exchange £2.5 to get £10 days out voucher which you can use online to buy tickets.

This is one London landmark that you must visit with your family.
